General Wes Clark Endorses Jerry McNerney!

Via JerryMcNerney.org:

"Jerry McNerney received the endorsement of General Wesley Clark today in McNerney’s bid to unseat Richard Pombo. This major endorsement follows last week's endorsements from Republican primary candidates Pete McCloskey and Tom Benigno.

“Californians deserve a partner in Washington who values sustainable, clean energy, a sound national security and a robust economy,” General Clark said. “That partner is Jerry McNerney whose informed, honest approach to public service is needed in Washington now more than ever. I am pleased to endorse him today.”

General Clark praised McNerney as a leader who will help restore honesty, integrity and accountability to Washington. “In voting for Jerry McNerney, Californians have an opportunity to turn things around before it’s too late. To change politics-as-usual, we have to vote for someone besides the usual politicians,” Clark said." (More-At-Source)

Hello everyone,
I am one of the friends of Tyler Jackson, one of the accused marines dubed "The Pendelton 8".

I just wanted to make all of you aware of a fundraiser we are putting on in Tracy on behalf of the family of LCPL Tyler Jackson.

We are having a "day in the park" this saterday aug. 12th. at Clyde Bland park on west lowell. Come out and enjoy Hotdogs from the American dog, Cotton Candy and Games. Also we will have buttons and tee-shirts for sale and all proceeds will be going directly to Tylers defense fund. We all must remember these marines are INNOCENT untill proven guilty.

To read some good coverage on this check out the North County times http://www.nctimes.com/ they have been keeping tabs on this story.

Also check out the blog we have started http://friendsoftyler.blogspot.com for more info on our fundraisers.

Regardless of how anyone feels about the war, this is about our troops. Come show your support for Tyler and have some fun in the sun. Donations are very welcome and encouraged.
